Angolan art collective Twana Twangola will hold the 1st National Forum of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) on 02 and 03 this month under the motto "children's participation in the process of governance in schools and communities" . In a note sent to Angop today, the organization anticipates that the event will be aimed at collecting subsidies that contribute to the development of Angolan children. The event is part of the plan to publicize the 11 commitments to the child, whose project is being implemented in the provinces of Luanda, Huambo, Zaire and Kwanza Sul.

"Considering the importance of the involvement of children and young people in the process of active participation in all matters affecting them, Twana Twangola, with the support of Save The Children in Angola, is implementing the project called Voice space of the child," reads the document . Twana Twagola art collective is a philanthropic child and youth organization located in Hoji ya Henda commune since 2002. It has worked for children to promote and defend children's rights and to defend actions and projects Socio-cultural, recreational and training sectors that represent the problems that affect the communities in order to encourage positive changes in favor of children. Under International Law, children have the right to be consulted in all decisions that pertain to their lives. Most countries have signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, including Angola. In accordance with Article 12 of this Convention, children's views should be asked in particular of issues affecting them, including legal and administrative procedures, taking into account the child's age and maturity.
