Google creates Zimbabwe election hub

With just a week to go until the Zimbabwe elections, anyone interested in finding out more about the presidential, parliamentary and provincial polls can now go to one site on the internet – thanks to .

The makes it easy for voters and interested people from around the globe to find everything they need to in one place – from the latest news and information to the websites of key institutions and organisations, from details of key candidates to analysis of the major issues.

It has also gathered together a range of videos from political parties, media and civil society.

Google has previously created very similar elections hubs for other African countries, including , , , and – as well as other countries around the world.

“Google’s mission is to organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful, so we hope that voters in Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwean diaspora – along with other interested people – will find the hub useful,” said Fortune Mgwili-Sibanda, Google’s regional Manager for Policy and Government Relations.
